Hello everyone!! Ok, so I LOVE to cook, years ago I was seriously thinking about becoming a chef and opening my own restaurant! Then I realized how expensive it was to go to cooking school and decided against it. Either way I still love to cook and I probably get that from my mom, because she is the best cook in the world (of course I am biased). Everything I know about cooking either comes from my mom or from the Food Network, you guys have no idea how many hours I have spent watching that channel. I think my favorite to shows are Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and Everyday Italian. I will probably blog quite a bit about food, as I am always trying new recipes and I would love to share some of my own that I love with you guys as well.
Anyways, I had never made jambalaya before and I have to say it was really really good! This recipe is really easy, and I got it off of Pinterest so I will link the original recipe somewhere in this blog. I like to my own twist on recipes, so I did not follow the recipe 100%. I also never measure any of my spices, vegetables or meats so I just kind of go with it! Normally for me it turns out quite well, also something I got from my mom as she also never measures anything. So lets get right into it!

Ingredients that I used:
1. Garlic
2. Onion
3. Red Bell Pepper
4. Celery
5. Parsley (Fresh)
6. Chicken Tenders
7. Beef Smoked Sausage
8. Jasmine Rice
9. Organic Chicken Stock
10. Hunts Diced Tomatoes
11. Tomato Paste
12. Worcestershire Sauce
13. Salt & Pepper
14. Mrs. Dash (Literally use this in everything I cook)
15. Cayenne Pepper

I cut the chicken tenders into cubes, I think cutting chicken
is one of my least favorite things to do! :-P

I also cut the sausage, and I like mine cute a little bit thicker.

I diced all my vegetables, I also like them cut into bigger pieces that way you
taste them better.

I then cooked the chicken first, I find that if you cook anything before
chicken it will not brown it will just stay white even after its cooked through.

After the chicken was cooked through I added all the diced vegetables,
I know that the recipe says to add these first and then those, but I find
(at least for me) it does not make a difference which ones you had first.

Then I added all the spices and the sausages, and like I said before
I never measure my spices I just put as much in there as I think. The recipe
has the exact measurements though.

At this point the food was smelling heavenly and I couldn't wait
to try it! I then added the chicken stock, tomato paste, diced tomatoes and
Worcestershire sauce. I also added the rice which I cooked before hand,
just to speed up the process of meal. I let it simmer for around 15 mins or so
and after that I added the fresh parsley and it was done!

This meal does take a little bit of prep work, but once you have everything ready it is a super easy recipe!! Let me tell you it was delicious, but I think next time instead of adding chicken I will make it with shrimp and add a little bit more spice as I like my meals pretty spicy! All in all this recipe was a success! I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I did and if you make it let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions for other recipes comment below and let me know!! I will talk to you in my next post!! Good night everybody!
